"The Third Curiosity Book for Boys" by Montague Goodman

First published in 1943, this volume (printed in 1956) contains The Curiosity Club and Solomon Goes to School, two works by Montague Goodman introducing readers to his 'Wantoknow' series, six books for boys set at a school in England, which appeared in the 30s and 40s. The main character are Curiosity Joe, his friends, and his instructors. Joe and his friends' adventures revolve around showing off their brilliant ideas and pondering questions such as 'Why are wrong things so jolly and right things so dull?' An early example of Christian Fiction for young readers, the book also explores the tenets of the Christian faith through the eyes of the schoolboys.
