“The Erth Dragons: The Wearle” by Chris d’Lacey

Hey there! Have you ever wondered where dragons came from? This book has a big answer.

A Wearle, which is a group of dragons, sets out from their home planet on an expedition and is never heard from again. Now a new Wearle has come to the place its creatures call Erth, determined to find out what happened. Gabrial, a young blue dragon, is desperate to prove his worth. But the dragons aren’t alone in the mountains, and a boy named Ren is too curious to stay away. When a terrifying conflict erupts between the dragons and humankind, Ren does the unthinkable and crosses into dragon territory. Can he win the dragons’ trust and stop a war?

It’s an epic, action-packed fantasy from the author of “The Last Dragon Chronicles,” written for readers about nine and up. It’s also the first book in a trilogy, followed by “Dark Wyng.”
