Kidnapped is a classic novel by Robert Louis Stevenson, first published in 1886. The story follows the adventures of young David Balfour as he is kidnapped and taken on a journey of self-discovery. Along the way, he meets a notorious pirate, Alan Breck, and together they face many dangers, including shipwreck and capture by the English. David learns the value of courage, friendship, and loyalty as he fights to survive and reclaim his rightful inheritance. With unexpected twists and turns, Kidnapped is a thrilling tale of adventure and self-discovery.

Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894) was a Scottish author and poet whose works have become some of the most popular and enduring of all time. He is best known for the adventure novel Treasure Island, which he wrote in 1883 and has since been adapted into countless film and television versions. He has also written several other novels, including The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. HydeKidnapped, and The Master of Ballantrae.

This vintage copy was purchased by its former owner in a little shop in Scotland, not far from Stevenson's birthplace of Edinburgh. No year of publication is evident, but our best guess is between 1960 and 1965. It is in good vintage condition. (See photos)
