Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894) was a Scottish author and poet whose works have become some of the most popular and enduring of all time. He is best known for the adventure novel Treasure Island, which he wrote in 1883 and has since been adapted into countless film and television versions. He has also written several other novels, including The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Kidnapped, and The Master of Ballantrae.

This vintage copy was purchased by its former owner in a little shop in Scotland, not far from Stevenson's birthplace of Edinburgh. No year of publication is evident, but our best guess is between 1960 and 1965. It is in good vintage condition. (See photos)
