About the Author
Joanne Rowling was born in 1965 in Yate, England. In 1990, on a delayed train from Manchester to London, a skinny boy wizard with round glasses walked into her imagination fully formed. Over the next several years she built his world in notebooks and Edinburgh cafés while raising her young daughter on very little money. Twelve publishers turned the manuscript down before Bloomsbury took a chance in 1997. What followed was one of the greatest publishing stories of all time. Rowling went on to write adult fiction too, including the Cormoran Strike detective novels under the name Robert Galbraith.

About the Series
Eleven years old, living in a cupboard under the stairs, and then a letter arrives by owl. That’s how it begins, and readers have never been the same since.

Across seven books, Harry, Ron and Hermione grow up at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Along the way, they face trolls, dragons, dementors, and a dark wizard whose name most people won’t even say. Each book is a little older and a little darker than the one before, so the series grows right along with its readers.

These are the First American Editions from Arthur A. Levine Books and Scholastic, the editions that launched Harry across the United States starting in 1998. The dust jackets carry Mary GrandPré’s beloved cover art, and on the shelf the colorful spines run in order from Year 1 to Year 7. Don’t miss the distinctive American titles, starting with “Sorcerer’s Stone.”

This complete set of seven hardcovers with dust jackets is in very good condition. A full matched run of First American Editions like this is a treasure for any collector or family library. Find it at Dead Tree Dreams before it disappears like an invisibility cloak.
